I spent over 4 years in the Army overseas where I was a convoy commander in Iraq and was responsible for making life or death decisions under extremely high stress. Multi-million dollar business decisions and deals are easy compared to that.
I was the Chief Marketing Officer at Bulletproof, Inc. (makers of Bulletproof® Coffee) and am a co-owner of the successful international brand. While Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Bulletproof, I was responsible for branding, digital marketing, content marketing, web development, advertising, events and experiential marketing, customer service, public relations, strategic marketing partnerships, recruiting/hiring, and team culture.
While at Bulletproof, I grew the podcast listeners by 15x (resulting in a #1 ranking in iTunes health category), the customer list by 15x, employees by 20x, the marketing department (which I was in charge of) by 40x, and strategically executed book launches, most successfully the New York Times Bestseller, The Bulletproof Diet. I also was the Executive Producer of the documentary film "Moldy" which has helped countless people learn about how to avoid the devastating impact that environmental mold can have on your family's health.
I am a combat veteran with many awards and commendations, including a Bronze Star and a Combat Action Badge. Most proudly, I am a husband and a father. I live with my wife, Cynthia, and our two children in Los Angeles, CA and Portland, OR.
